What spending do you put on your AMEX? Any tips

I pay for maybe the cheapest retail diesel in the country with Amex at 7-eleven.
Ive got a current Fuel app fuel lock for 185.9 diesel from somewhere in Perth. 🤣
Great entertainment value especially when the discount is more the $50

Also, with health fund extras cover e.g. dental, optical etc, pay for the full service on your Amex and then claim the benefit back from the health fund. Don’t just pay the gap at the provider after HICAPS lodgement. Even better if a hospital inpatient.

within my state.
I'm more adventurous. I put it on a spare phone so I don't have to unspoof it. That means as soon as I pay with the first fuel app lock , I lock it again hopefully for same price . I often need more than the 150L limit per fuel app🤣.
The entertainment value is the look on the cashiers face but they don't care.

Good when buying between 10k and 15k Litres a year . Maybe $1800 discount per year plus Amex plus Velocity. Peanuts really in the scheme of things

We have x2 massive SUV - always at least 150l to fill. I also have a spare PAYG phone for OS visitors so shall investigate. Thanks people

Has anyone found a digital master/visa card that accepts amex as Bpay? I was thinking whether this would be a better choice than gift cards? Only if it exists....

Edit: Also is ATO considered a Cash Advance?

No. ATO payments are counted as a regular purchase.
Note however that direct ATO payments are of course government payments, and most cards have reduced earn rates on direct government purchases. I'd recommend Sniip or Payment Logic to get the full earn rate (with surcharges of course as applicable).
