If you adjusted your SC earn rate along those lines, would you still earn >700 SCs per year? If not, that might have been the reason for rejection.

Good question, haven't done the exercise. I'd say I would have comfortably had enough for Gold with QF, but probably not platinum. This year would be a different story though, Iv'e almost requalified for WP in 4 months. I would've thought they may have offered a challenge for SG at least? Wasn't expecting just a free "match".

Currently I a motorhoming around Australia, so not many points last year. Dropped to gold level from platinum, however would not have minded an upgrade due to my longevity with the program...Apr 81 on my card and membership number below 20,000. Ah well use my points for upgrades

My nice new shiny Platinum card and bag tags arrived today along with my "Commemorative Boarding Pass". Not sure what the boarding pass is for, but I did notice that I was given two years as a WP. Thank you very much! Pity I'll only get to use it twice in those two years!
