What to do with 750k Velocity with KF devaluation

Tough call here, I don't know anything about KF, other than they allow *A and other SQ partner redemptions that VA doesn't have access to.

Don't KF points expire?

I'll be transferring most, if not all, of my VA points across to KF - having made the earlier mistakes of taking advantage of the 15% bonuses from AMEX to VA - I should have left the points in AMEX and transferred direct to KF. No problems with planning for 2 x J awards to Europe sometime in the next 3 years (even though I will need a few extra points first).

Well tonight I started moving my 2 mil Velocity Points over.

Will leave the biggest chunk till later to maximise shelf life.

Not that I had many ANZ points left, but just gained their offer to match the velocity 15% offer, and so those points will earn an extra 30% to Velocity now, before being shunted on to KF. This gains 44% more points than transferring direct.

Late to this party but ill chime in with my very limited experience. From what ive seen velocity redemtpions are only good for a small niche of travellers. For domestic redempttions and spur of the moment or last minute redemptions to the US. I recently snagged 2 retirn business class redemptions SYD to LAX but had to be prepared to book last minute for travel within 2 weeks. That wont work for most but for me it does.

The only sour note for me is the introduction of the new "carrier charges"
