Folks,

Maybe I was a little too slow off the mark last year in deciding what to do with my Amex points earned through the standard Amex Gold Debit Card I've had since 1995.
I have approx 250,000 points sitting in my Amex account at the moment. I see that that the conversion rates have virtually halved for Qantas and Virgin.

I am a member of QFF, Velocity, AirAsia, Cathay - any suggestions as to what I can do to get the best conversion to any frequent flyer programs that will take Amex points? - I usually redeem my points when I fly domestically or overseas - which in pre COVID times was to Europe or the US.

All suggestions welcome,

Cheers

Keep your points with Amex until you actually have a need to use them. Unless you're looking to close your Amex card and need to move now?

Agree with @Happy Dude .

What with refunds and stuff last year and continued points earning through card spend I now have about 250K Amex and 600K points in various airline / hotel programs.

Oh, and about 1M combined Flybuys and Woollies (Bank for Christmas).
