gday
I just booked a week in fiji during december and as the a330 was on the run I booked into business
Anyone know what to expect in the way of catering? Is it similar to LAX J or is it the slop they serve up on east coast domestic?
Also, what is the likelyhood that the A330 will be downgraded to the dreaded 738? It is what it is, but i consider the A330 good value for J but no way would I have bothered if it was a 738.
I have searched the web but cannot find the info, will do a trip report post holiday

As everyone will always tell you there is always a risk of a aircraft swap which can be planned or happen last minute.
If you walk onto the aircraft and it's an a330, unless there is a last minute issue that's when it's confirmed as an a330.

No idea on catering but I would expect it to be similar to the domestic service.

Yeah i understand that aircraft types change, ive been around a while and understand operational changes. Thanks for replying anyway

We flew the A330 in J during September school holidays to Fiji. The menu was similar to a domestic J offering (sorry can’t remember what was on offer......way too many Fiji Bitters at the Marriott). Fantastic way to start the holiday I reckon and I too was worried about an equipment swap, especially as the seat map consistently showed only 8 seats occupied. In the end, it was a full J cabin both ways so might have been a few points upgrades come through.
