What would you call the new Qantas Asia hub airline?

Reading through the long thread I have come to like Qantasia. The QA code is available and eminently appropriate-is this airline the Question or the Answer.

Ansett Mk 3, especially if they decide to go to KUL, which was a failed AN destination when AJ was looking after the Ansett routes etc ;)

Can't believe no one has suggested this already - 'Dead Roo'! :p

Seriously, I would have thought everything pointed towards 'Spirit', given the whole 'A New Spirit' palaver, but there's already a Spirit Air in the US.

Would be odd for an 'Australian Airlines' to be based outside Australia, as much as I'd like to see that livery return and would imagine the number crunchers would prefer to further save money by reviving an existing brand. What about 'Australia Asia Airlines'? Or 'Trans Asia Airlines'?

Have to remember this is targeted at the Asian new-money market so will have to be extremely crass and unsophisticated.

So something stupid like max air. Or superior air.

The best asian company name I'm come across was Shanghai Golden Glorious Eagle.... They should just change the city name based on where the flights will be based from! Just imagine boarding a "Glorious Eagle"...

Yep, the wanna-be-seen flying the in-thing crowd, is going to be extremely fickle, & I doubt that Qantas has the ability to maintain any sense of loyalty, by creating its own narrow-based airline brand.

IMO Premium Fashion Branding is beyond Qantas Group's capacity (but management would probably be too arrogant to concede that ). All it would take is one of "these types" licensed to come along...

...and overnight, it's adios customer base.

There's nothing quite like a Chanel knock-off from Asia, except the real thing!

I assume "Long Tan" is out?

Seriously though, they should have anything with the word "Australian" or similar in it, just to separate it from the pack. Maybe "Aussie Asia"
