Sorry if this has been spoken about. Hopefully I will be returning to PNG in a matter of 3 weeks or so. As I have to quarantine in a hotel there, suggestions of what I should be taking. Presuming I won’t be able to order anything in from outside. Hopefully hotel food is ok, fingers crossed. Suggestions on snacks, that I can take in please. Not sure what happens about laundry so I’ll take some washing detergent. Downloaded movies, books. Any other ideas? It’s one thing doing quarantine in Aus but PNG???

How was your experience, OP?
I stayed at Grand Papua Hotel. Was lucky enough to get water views on 8th floor, all rooms I believe have balcony. Overlooked the road which was very interesting people watching. Food was great and plentiful. Only complaint it was never hot. Food was served on proper china and metal cutlery. I found out after I checked out that some rooms have microwaves. You could have a cooked breakfast or a light breakfast of toast, cereal, fruit etc... lunch was always a cooked lunch, same with dinner. Always varied too. I did take snacks but hardly ate any as food was so good. Washing was 25 kina a bag, so was reasonable. Could order alcohol from downstairs (so a friend told me, was expensive). Could order...
Internet, phone and Kindle and Im a happy girl. Strangely snacks dont even rate because being home since mid march, Ive not craved chocs, chips ect.

Good luck!

Could order coffee too. Also friends SIM card was no longer active so first day someone organised a new sim for her. Staff checked up on you at least once a day to ask if you required anything. WHO also rang every day. All in all I had a great time!
