What's the earliest bag drop time on DJ Dom?

Can't find this on the VA website and can't find it by searching the VA forum, does anybody know ?
I have a hire car to drop off and don't want to get charged extra so would like to bag drop 2-3 hours before if possible ( the other upside being my first visit to the BNE Lounge )

I would think it's alright though I don't know from experience.

Oops. I just got reminded that my SIL dropped bags in MEL the other day at just over 3 hrs before her flight.

I think 5 hrs is my record. 3 should be ok but I can't guarantee it.

I think officially it's 4hrs, but at Sydney Airport I've checked a bag in the morning and didn't fly out till late in the evening. They will offer to move you to an earlier flight.

I think you can drop bags off once anytime after check in has opened.
