Flew QF475 (VH-EBS) yesterday and IFE was on but frozen. No attempt at reset and CSM advised IFE was broken (VH-EBS not having good run lately with gear retraction issues etc). After having to endure the 737 redeye QF46 earlier due to cancellation of QF44, 5 hours in the lounge and then sitting on tarmac for 30+mins waiting for TO slot due to single runway ops, wasnt feeling much QF love.... First world probs, but is a fubar IFE on transcon flight something QFF would typically offer recovery for, and if so, what would be usual points amount?

Update: looks like it's 3000 points...

5000 points on a SYD-DPS in J when the IFE audio could not be used as a previous user left a remnant of the 3.5mm pin in the port. (was promised 10k points, 5k automatically transferred and 5k to be manually processed, but I only received 5k all up.

Given this was a paid J rtn journey not a reward flight, and the significant inconvience incurred by the cancellation of the preceding flight from DPS, offer of 3000 points bit like a big FU from QF.... which I will be reciprocating with gusto once I get LTG in another 275 SC...👌

I've received 5,000 points on multiple occasions because Q-Streaming wasn't working on a SYD-CBR flight.

In one instance, I was initially offered 1,000 points. I wrote back and said that I felt 5,000 points would be more appropriate for the inconvenience, and they obliged.

I've received 5,000 points on WLG-MEL before. The cabin manager handed out a little card to me that had the 5,000 point amount, flight details and a reference number.

MEL-PER is very roughly the same distance.
