Whats Valet Parking like?

Valet in BNE would save ~10mins.
Your car is in the sun all day and it's not like it stays under 3krpm from a cold start when it's returned to you.

My car isn't anything special anyway, but I can see its not actually that much value, despite the fact it should be. Might save my cash on the vouchers in that case.

What they really need is "first class parking", where the bays are in premium locations center of parking structure where it's not affected by weather and wider and longer bays where doors cannot be dinged. Also park it yourself with no valet. I would pay more than the valet cost for this and they could get rid of those pesky staff who chew up the bottom line.

Not sure about the wider and longer, but for BNE domestic sounds like you are describing their ParkPremium product.... I think it is only available if you pre-book online.

Q. What is ParkPremium?

ParkPremium provides you with the most convenient self-park bays available at the Domestic Terminal.
ParkPremium car park bays are the closest to the Terminal as they are located on level 3 of the multi-level car park (P1).
This allows you to have a short stroll across the covered Skywalk into the Terminal

Sydney Airport has recently introduced a bunch of special offers to get people to use their Parking Facilities at both International and Domestic. These special offers cover short term (3hrs) - long term (1 month) each with varying levels of discounting. Sydney Airport - Car Parking - International Special Offers - Great Escape. Since the introduction of these special offers the T1 car park has been extremely busy with long queues at the exit between 07:00am - 09:30am most mornings.

These offers have coincided with a change over to a new booking and ticketing system which was introduced in early August making it a "cashless" exit. Most weeks I use Qantas Valet at T1 leaving the car from anywhere between 3-5 days each week. With the discounts on offer the pricing is competitive when compared to Sydney taxi's. Previous to the changeover the services and support via Qantas Valet was excellent. Since the cut over I've have not been able to exit the parking facility due to an incorrectly coded card being provided by Qantas Valet. I've raised the issue with Sydney Parking and they say its a Qantas Valet issue and vice versa. As well as people having similar challenges to me in exiting the car park I'm guessing in saying the long queues are also to do with people trying to still pay by cash at the exit and other general systems issues.

I like the new system. I prebook, prepaid, and you can use the barcode or your credit card to enter, and then use either to exit. I just disembarked, got through immigration and out of the carpark in about 12 mins this morning at 07:45...
