Not sure how relevant this is to this thread but just noticed that there are now up to 2 a day Darwin - Perth services starting later this year. One is run by Network Aviation on their A320. Not sure how willing I would be though to fly on Jetstar configured A320 for the 3:55 flight to Perth. QANTAS - A320 - DRW - PER.PNG

I see $200 for a Jetstar flight of $340 for a Qantas flight. It's priced to match.

At least you can buy spirits on JQ. That would help.

I have a feeling this is an EBA issue- jetstar are Qantas group whereas network are a contractor. Or something

Network is 100% owned by Qantas.
Ok yep but they’re on a different, cheaper EBA. Same as what was Cobham. I think the jetstar eba is quite good these days after the various strikes. Network has always been noted to be atrocious

also is there a PER JQ base?

DFAT code? I've never known nor trusted any government of any persuasion to procure efficiently. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a surcharge....

Not up on QANTAS website yet but just received a notification that my Sydney flight (QF843 Red-Eye) has been reschedule to depart at 0205. Checked the trip details and has been moved to an A330 too. Possible double daily A330's to DRW from SYD?.

Our late June MEL-DRW has been upgraded to A330 as well.

Thats great to hear, saw it had been re-timed but didn't check to see if the aircraft had changed.

Before the expansion, I've flown into DRW late at night and stayed within the terminal to connect to a 3K flight to SIN at the crack of dawn... Tonight I noticed the following sign at DRW so looks like the air con comforts may no longer be available when transiting overnight?
