Seatguru only shows one config for QF, bing a 3-class 747-400 in the "Kangaroo" config of 14F, 50J (Skybed) and 318 Y. It does not show all configs of QF aircraft.
Are you referring the routes to & from LAX or all 747's in general.

When I look at my seat for QF6 it shows row 26 as the first row in economy and as I have 27H allocated it shows me in the second row in economy.

I am really really confused. :? And sorry if I am being a PITA.

He is saying that seatguru only has one config for all QF 747s (LAX or otherwise), and the seat config that it has is not the seat config for the flight you are on.

No, you're not being a PITA ... as yet

These days Qantas have effectively 3 different 744 configuraitons.

2 Class (56J, 356Y)
3 Class (Kangaroo Route- 14F, 50J, 315Y )
3 Class (Pacific Route- 14F, 64J, 265Y)

You are in a two class: Here is a link to a seat map for your flight: Qantas 2 Class 744.

27H is not a bad Y seat actually.

The mere fact you are in a H seat can be used to tell it's Y class, as no 744 Skybeds have that as a designator.

Thanks serfty. I have looked at check my trip and this is the exact configuration as the link you have above. And you are right 27H looks like a very good seat.

I am being a PITA as I tried to help Icarus by telling her that 26A on her flight from LAX is the first row in economy and not business class. Unless she has an economy flight out, 35H, and business flight back, 26A. :?

Am I right in saying that all Pacific routes are not 3-class?

QF6 is 2-class or 3-class?

QF6 is a 2-class service. There are a lot of cattle class seats on those planes. When I flew on this service last year I had a seat in J upstairs, which meant walking through the economy cabin to get there. Oh the humanity....
A shame they don't have a shower upstairs to get rid of that cattle smell after walking through the corral. :P

All flighst from BNE are two class. The QF103/104 weekly flight MEL-LAX-MEL is sold as 2 class, but I expect that goes away when QF25/26 operates from MEL, and that will be 2-class as it is today from BNE.

The 3-class services trans-Pacific are QF11/12, QF107/108, QF149/8 and QF93/94.

The 2-class services are QF25/26, QF103/104, QF175/176, QF249/250.
