When does the sign on bonus appear on your account?

I just signed up for the NZ promo of the amex plat card. It's got 200k MR points as long as you spend $2k in the next three months. I got the card today 26/8 and spent $2k+ on it. Just wondering does anyone know when my statement cycle will be. I was hoping the 200k sign on bonus hits my account before end of Sept so I can take advantage of the MR-marriot bonus transfer. I was wondering does the sign on bonus appear as soon as you spend the required amount?

For my plat, after I've spent 3k, the MR point appears in a couple of days.

I think the statement cycle depends on the day you activate it. Mine was on the 14th, however I've asked the customer service to change my cycle to 1st of every month, makes it easier, and they did.
