Hello all,

I've noticed that almost all red-eye Perth - Brisbane flights, and the 8:25am service back to Perth for Dec and Jan (that's all I looked at), are now operated by A330-200's. This is in addition to the early morning QF650 flight, Perth - Brisbane, and return mid afternoon.

Can I assume this is due to the new bird coming into the fleet, or is it just another fleet shuffle around?

Please someone be in the know ;)

Without looking at the seat map it is hard to tell, given they have a few configs, maybe JQ are handing back one early.

I have been looking at SYD-SIN flights for April 2013 and they are operated by an A330-200.

Early this year, the talk was a November delivery. The last investor presentations gave a delivery of 1 A330 in the current financial year. Problem is that it doesn't seem to appear on any Airbus delivery schedule I can find, so not sure what is happening with it.

Maybe Jetstar is handing one back. They do seem to have cut back on some of their routes.....

That is surprise if some posts on AFF are to be taken at face value. I was under the impression JQ were a very successful airline.

I think it is time I started flying JQ so they can get a first hand feel of the JohnK curse. If they can survive that then they can survive anything....

JUst looking at the timetables, the Singapore to Beijing flight seems to be dropping back to 5 a week.

Its flying BNE Perth this Sunday as QF597
I'm rather pleased, I was going later on a 737 now I get the new bird.

I'm not a member either, I assumed it was just short haha. It looks like a leasing company has bought an A332 to lease to Qantas long term.

So that basically means a change in lessor? An existing A330 aircraft will move within the Qantas Group from JQ to QF but with different lease conditions? Correct? Or is it an additional A330? Not a very clear press release.

I'm not aware of Qantas being specific about their plan, but they said "an A330 joining the domestic fleet". This link says the company is based in Dublin, and I'm aware Kingfisher has a couple A332's parked there, so that could be a clue. Hopefully get all the info on Friday :)

VH-EBV had its first flight on 26 October. Not sure how long from first flight to delivery....

(While the plane is sort of a green colour, it does have a roo on its tail!)

I read it as an existing owner has sold the aircraft to AWAS, who now take over the lease that is in place to Qantas. I suspect its EBN.
