When moving about the cabin......

If you are on an aisle in Y, many (not all - exceptions may be front row and exit rows) of the aisle seat rests are liftable, meaning you can just lift them, swing your knees around into the aisle and stand up. They are usually released via a little knob or lever under and to the rear of the armrest. Can make entry and exit to the seat so much easier, especially if the one in front is reclined. I can only recall having noticed this on B737s and A320s but it may apply on other models too. Of course, as seat technology changes, the feature may disappear.
Interesting, I always though aisle armrests couldn't get raised.. Maybe I didn't look hard enough for the lever/knob.. Will keep an eye out next time I fly, thanks.
