Well you still cannot earn DJ points with Hilton double dipping, so clearly there is a lot of bedding down to do.

Well for me the best way DJ could show me some love would be a status match with Priority Club-I'll be platinum PC very soon and I would be loyal to Virgin for the
rest of my life if they did that, but it's not going to happen.
I can dream though can't I ?;)
Cheers

Yeah you can, 1000 Velocity points as a fixed mile double dip as per this page.

You can't double dip with variable miles and VA though.

I think DJ has thrown a lot into the market place in the last 6 months or so and I guess they are wondering what is working and what is not working.

I am now trying to fly VA a little bit and it has taken revenue of QF.

Don't think you can do the variable miles with QF either.

I had that point in my earlier post, but I removed it as I thought QF schemes don't really relate at all to DJ being "bedded down", though it does seem to suggest what is currently on offer is as "bedded down" as we're going to get (unless of course DJ want to 'outgun" QF on that score).

I have to say however, what is on offer, is far from an unworkable scheme though. Double dip is a great offer from HH and we can certainly still choose two of the three options or even three of the three options if we want to allocate the miles to a different carrier (that does offer the variable miles option). I choose points + points at this stage, but points + variable miles probably would be my selection if it were to become available with DJ but for travellers who frequently choose the cheapest room option on a short stay, points + fixed miles (1000 Velocity points) is certainly an attractive option as well!
