You're late.We started planning 2019 9 months ago.Already have 2 cruises booked.
Now the wait to get awards to and from.
Well its far too soon to book flights so I'm not really late.

March/April, doing CBR-SIN-KUL-PEN-HKG-NRT-KIX-PVG over 3 weeks with a friend, mostly on SQ in J which will be lots of fun!

Melbourne, for the birth of my third grandson, Sanctuary Cove, Sydney, Airlie Beach, Broome. Too busy to go overseas!

What a terrific thread :).

Currently in San Francisco on a trip that wasn’t planned until Sunday 17th Dec, so I am not sure about this planning stuff :)

We have one big trip planned for next year. We booked Giraffe Manor in Kenya in early June 2017 for Sep 2018 and were struggling to get availability, so planning is often necessary!

We are flying F on EK Syd-NBO and most of September and a bit of October will be in Kenya/Rwanda/Tanzania.

Apart from two nights at Giraffe Manor camps are

Sala’s Camp (Masai Mara)
Segera Retreat (Laikipia area)
Bisate (Rwanda)
Then 3 Singita properties in Tanzania
Mara River
Sabora
Sasakwa

Mainly flying small planes to get around, although booked with Kenyan Air for Nairobi-Kigali

We have also booked to go Antarctica on Silverseas Cloud in very early January 2019 - taking Ms FM and her husband. This will be our first cruise and we are all a bit unsure as Ms FM and Mr FM both suffer from motion sickness - we have kept it to 10 days on the boat, so hopefully it will be good and we can add cruises to our repertoire.

There will definitely be some Sydney/Melbourne trips but they tend to be less planned - joys of retirement.

One big one Lisbon, Porto, Nice, Nantes, Angers, Paris, New York, Miami and Charleston. TG J to Europe, CX F US back to OZ. As for Europe to USA God knows. Have spare LM for Lufthansa F, need a back up plan though

ILTT - would love to hear your thoughts after the Portugal part of the trip, am just beginning to start looking at the options there for us.

Really enjoyed Oporto and the north, Braga is worth staying at, can't comment on Lisbon as it's been a long time since I was there. Definitely prefer the north over thesouthern Portugal though.

Currently on the list - provided I can line up leave, available leave balance, the funds, a house sitter and a travel companion! - are:

- Tanzania/ Kenya/ Botswana (somewhere amongst these countries) around May
- Mexico (Holbox) and maybe NYC after around September

Ideally a week's break in there too - back to Sri Lanka will be the pick.

Apologies if this is not allowed, but a friend and I organise trips to Tanzania (not as a business, just because we love it) and we have one leaving Australia on 26th May. There's currently 9 of us and there will only be a maximum of 12. I can send you details if you're interested :)

Wow some amazing trips being lined up!

EuroTrash 18 is booked on EK F :)
Six weeks.
Landing in Nice. Planning to head North to the lavender fields and countryside.
Flying out of Munich with a week in towns North of Munich.
Some time on a friend's boat out of Dubrovnik.
Some time in Romania now there are direct flights from Estonia to Constanta.
Rest of the time in and around Estonia and Finland.

Probably a few more trips but ET18 is the main event :)

Sydney on QF J in April for my sisters wedding then Singapore & Koh Samui on SQ & MI J.

Unfortunately we have just had to cancel our March/April Hong Kong & Japan Trip which was booked on CX J and TG F & J. A pity as it would have been my first A350 and B787 flights.

I can recommend a great guide at Singita, if you're interested :)

Well a lot depends on how cooperative QR is in re-scheduling (and possibly upgrading) an exCAI LONEx which is issued on their ticket stock. But hopefully the highlight will be (horrors:eek:) the bus trip from Santiago, Chile to Buenos Aires, Argentina via Mendoza. Any one interested in tagging along in late April? Theoretically it might be possible for me to include a side trip to MDE to visit AFF's south american representative either before or after.......

Happy wandering

One big international holiday booked for 2018 with quite a few domestic trips. International trip is BNE -MEL- LAX. A few days in Disneyland then LAX-YYC and drive to Vancouver. Then YYV -ANC. A few days in Anchorage then a flight to Barrow in northern Alaska and into the arctic circle. Back down to Homer for a bear tour and the salmon run, then back to anchorage for gold dome train to fairbanks and returning to BNE via SFO.

I hope that the bus trip will be full cama, not semi cama ;). If so, it should be quite tolerable. Can't join you, but xSCL, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil and Costa Rica are in my 2018 plans :).
