Currently confirmed for the ski trip to Hakuba in Jan. Likely in March but pending fellowship exam results from a friend is Kyrgyzstan for backcountry yurt skiing. Under discussion is Iceland/Northern EU for hiking and the Aurora for August-ish. Seems a bit light on so might book the CM Rangali for late in the year.

Vietnam in March for a 10 day stretch is the only confirmed trip we have.

Although we hope to do a road trip in January to Esperance so MrsGM can launch her book.

If work surprises me I might be spending a couple weeks on the Gold Coast in April.

After that I have vague hopes of a week or so in Melbourne at some point for some footy.

And if we can get ourselves a little more financially stable - we might try to pull off a "fantasy idea" trip to Hawaii later in the year.

Two trips booked so far to Europe and USA, on the way testing some new J and F products.

SYD-SIN-LHR on SQ (hopefully) new A380 Suites. Couple of weeks in the UK, Germany and Israel then TLV-HKG on LY B787 new J.

SYD-BKK-ICN-LAX finally get to fly OZ A380 Suites. One week in LAX, SFO and Napa/Sonoma wine country followed by a week in Maui then back home on HA new J.

Another trip in the pipeline to watch the World Cup in Russia, pending myself and the boys scoring tickets to a few games.

Personal trips booked so far, business travel usually hits me a day or two before departure:
Rio de Janeiro over New Years, then Argentina and Chile in early January
Celebrity Cruises cruise from Sydney to Numea and some other pacific Islands in March (which will be an absolute boozefest)
Quick trip up to Cairns in May
Short ten day hop to Europe, seeing some friends at Cologne Gay Pride and then my parents for two days before heading back with a 3 day stop over in the UAE
Big annual holiday planned for late August to the US, most likely covering LA and then a drive from Chicago via Cedar Point and the Niagara falls to NYC
Add a couple of random short trips within Australia and over to NZ and that's my 2018!

Jan - Club Med Yabuli China - Skiing. Harbin Ice Festival
Jan - Hua Hin Thailand - Golf long weekend
Feb - South Africa - Sun City, Game reserve, Vic Falls, Cape Town and Garden Route - Safari , golf and wine.
April - Australia - Home to see the family.
May - Ullan Bator Outer Mongolia - Long weekend
May tentative - Scotland - Visit relatives and golf.
June - Fly home to Aus after 2 years in China

Not sure for next half of 2018

Doing northern Thailand then to central Vietnam (Hue/Danang/Hoian) Bangkok and back home.
We just returned from Danang and stayed at The Banyan Tree Lang Co which I highly recommend. Management and staff are amazing. Fabulous resort ( especially if you like golf and relaxing)

Wow there are some great sounding trips on the cards for a lot of members! :D

In January, we are going to Singapore for a few nights (first time there for more than an airport stopover, very excited!), staying at Marina Bay Sands. Then flying to Bali to board a cruise back home to Sydney, taking in quite a few ports in WA - another part of the world we haven't visited before.

That's it for the time being, hoping a few short trips will be planned for later in 2018 once we return from the big trip.
Marina Bay Sands is great especially the rooftop pool

Only one that is definite is parts of Europe with Xmas markets Dec 2018. Just waiting on fare sales
Probable a week to Tokyo and same to Hong Kong first quarter of the year
Also a quick Sydney to Melbourne.
Just making sure we get enough Qantas status credits to maintain Platinium.

We currently have nothing O/S booked but some German friends are coming to visit in March and we intend to do a Perth/Kalgoorlie/Esperance//Albany/Perth loop with them. Plus a few days around Margaret River.

However Kelvedon, in the "Cheap International Airfares" thread, has alerted me to the current companion fare sale flying QATAR. For just under $6,000 the two of us can fly J from Singapore to Doha, stopover for 2 nights for $100US, and then go onto Helsinki. I am thinking of doing the 5 day Helsinki/St Petersburg/Tallinn boat trip and then wander down through the Baltics and possibly into Northern Germany. As usual we will find our own way to Singapore.

As Australia has abandoned any value add to our mineral wealth, all my work is overseas. Due to family circumstances i have to effectively hub it out of Australia. So next year, at the least is;

12 trips to Thailand, 3 to Greece, 3 to South Korea, 2 to Pakistan, 2 to India, 3 to Europe, and it keeps growing, add China and Middle East to the mix, Oh and forgot to add the 3 trips to the US! i usually plan it with the major flight i call the "spine". Then all the other flights hang off it. Typing this sitting in a squat in northern Greece at the end of the "spine" about to return, but another three countries to do.....

Nothing booked yet but likely YVR in January, Wales in April and GLA in September with another trip or two to the LOTFAP fitted in somewhere in between.

I'll just leave this here:

We've been twice to Croatia and sailed on the real nice 40 passenger MV President from Split to 7 islands in 8 days of the 1100 there, fantastic small modern ship, good food, brilliant service, inc most meals and excellent tours, best holiday we've ever had.
