Don't have a clue where, but I thought the yellow object was probably a water tower.

Correct. The Montreal Notre Dame is a magnificent building, given its timber based. The Paris Notre Dame was also magnificent, and I'm sure it will be again once they have restored it.

Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Chapel was connected to the sailors who plied the port, and certainly stands grand over the river.
