Is this the straw sculpture that was at Snugsbury ice cream place in Cotswalds that burnt down or something & replaced ???
Snugburys Icream Shop, Cheshire! Hoons set fire tol it a couple of years ago as I rermember?
Both correct in that it is Snugburys and boy is the icecream fanastic.

Cheshire - just outside of Nantwich another lovely little town - not the Cotswolds

Looks like no more takers on this.

Rooy was on the right continent, but not the right country.

It's in Medellin, Colombia and one of many Botero sculptures there. This particular one is one of the Birds of Peace in Plaza San Antonio, but is a replacement for one blown up by FARC terrorists in 1995. Botero insisted that the damaged one stay as a message of defiance to terror and a memorial to those killed.

See: The Birds of Peace

The Plaza Botero, not that far away, is IMO a must-see (as is Medellin generally), with its 23 Boteros: Plaza Botero: 23 Sculptures by Medellín’s Fernando Botero
