I'm surprised that no-one has responded to this photo. The Pinnacles at Cervantes?
I did a survey job at Dongara just down the road a lot of years ago, and got part payment in lobsters. The boss wasn't too pleased about it.

along lines of more huntin' ... which museum / city did this victim (thylacine) end up in ?

Is it the British Museum in London ?
PS - dirty hairy guy above looks like most of Melb males in lockdown (except hubby of course)
Not that museum or city.

We Melbourne males may be particularly hairy, but we are still washing ... at least most of us & for now.

Correct. Calgary; I resisted spending - we just went there to gape.

I've frequented the one at Grapevine, Tx. It's awesome. It's close to DFW and I think there's a shuttle which may be a great way to spend a long layover. There's a restaurant, underfloor firing range and an enormous fish tank. I think there's an associated hotel too? Excess baggage alert!

Glasgow???
Looks like it was a little obscure ...
the thylacine was / is in the Hunterian museum, at Uni of Glasgow.
I thought it a gem of a small museum, based on the personal collection of Wlliam Hunter.
A very wide range of items ranging from relics from the Antonine wall to scientific instruments of Lord Kelvin, and medical specimens.

There's also one of these stores in Vegas - it's massive with a large aquarium and lots of stuffed animals throughout, including several lions, bears etc. The sign at the front entry asks patrons to check their firearms and crossbows at customer service before entering and in addition to the obligatory indoor firing range where anyone can try before buying, there's a display cabinet about 6m long which contained about 200 pistols which all had pink grips - for the ladies!
