RF1: Is that a Canadian maple leaf on the sign under the fake palm tree?
That would narrow it down.

🤷‍♀️ ;)

Rooooooo are you able to post your (as yet unidentified) picture/s again ?
I’m getting whiplash scrolling between the posts on my phone.😂!!!
I do admire the RF Dewey Decimal labelling system which helps. 👏👏
Apologies for my slowness in dotage!!!
Merci beaucoup or Grazie (depending on where the lake is)

EDIT - in fact I’m so confused (as I scrolled again) I don’t even know if I have the right poster of the lakes !!! Is it you RF ? think I’ll leave my post as evidence of my foggy brain.

Anticipatory apologies to all. This is what happens when let out of Melb lockdown… can’t handle all these new real world inputs

… same city as each other

The first has been correctly identified as Tharros, Sardinia. It was probably founded by the Phonecians in the 8th century BC and was later occupied by the Punics and the Romans - ref Punic wars.

The next two are not identified; they are related to Tharros, but not in Sardinia. What are they and how related to the above?

Is number RF2ii Carthage (Byrsa Hill, Tunisia), a Phoenician colony?

If right, maybe number RF2iii is the Punic Harbour also in Carthage

And RF1, Drumheller Alberta

Win, win, win! 😊

RF2ii is the ruins of the Phoenician city lying underneath the Roman one at Carthage . iii is the Punic port where vessels left for Tharros ( and other places) during the Punic wars.

Carthage is within the city of Tunis, Tunisia.
