OK - with the detailed information in hand and a few points remaining from the Amex promo of 2008 I have pushed through the following

18/2 SYD-MEL 06:30 (mon) - no upgrade but whY Bfast is ok
18/2 MEL-SYD 17:30 (mon) - upped to J for dinner
21/2 SYD-ADL 17:25 (sun) - no up available and no free booze :|
22/2 ADL-SYD 16:40 (mon) - no up available so planning to lard up in the lounge
24/2 SYD-BNE 17:05 (wed) - up to J for dinner
25/2 BNE-SYD 18:10 (thu) - whY dinner on short flight should be fine (slight shortage of booze will be offset by trip to J lounge)
1/3 MEL-SYD 18:00 (mon) - whY dinner on short flight should be fine (slight shortage of booze will be offset by trip to J lounge)

Many thanks to all contributors to my gullet ;)

From memory have had dinner served on the 20:05 SYD-BNE flight. I have also had dinner on some flights scheduled to depart between 17:00 and 17:59 where the flight has had a delay.

Both of these flights should have complimentary beer and wine in WHY. I have never had a problem getting 2 drinks and sometimes I even manage to have 3 drinks if I am bored....
