In the UK and will check out the results in the morning local time.
I really like this idea John!!It would much simpler and less costly if they did away with elections and let both sides have turns of governing every 4 years. Can't be any worse than what we have now....
I'll be at home, hosting one of my now famous election night parties.
On arrival everyone draws two or three pieces of paper from a hat.
Written on each piece of paper is a typical election night phrase
"people have spoken"
"victory for common sense"
"too close to call" etc etc......
Then we switch on Anthony Greene on the ABC and wait until someone's phrase is mentioned. Naturally if yours comes up, you have to skull your drink.
In past years "tally room" and "after preferences" resulted in some serious inebriation but this year I really, really pity the poor b@$t@rd who draws "landslide"!
Methinks they'll be unconscious by about 9.30 AEST!!
Any suggestions for other killer phrases will be gratefully received.

I've always thought that the sausages that the primary school serves up on election day are just that bit more special than the ones they offer at Bunnings. I'll certainly miss them this election - they're probably the only thing I really look forward to about the day.Wherever I am I'll be glad I'm a silent voter, and no longer need to "run the gauntlet" at the local school, people trying to stuff pamphlets under my nose etc - will miss the sausage sizzle but there's always bunnings.
