What would everyone be doing now if it wasn't for this nightmare?
I would have been in Nouméa again, drinking champagne on the beach of Îlot Canard inbetween snorkelling sorties and watching the sunsets sipping coughtails with friends at the Chateau Royale before dinner at one of many amazing restaurants which cater more to locals than tourists.
On the bright side, I have a new dishwasher instead.
A year without travel is going to pay for a lot of home improvements.
None of them look quite this good, though or be this much fun
.

I am from Plymouth @drron.

...trying to guess which village you mean.
Ruled out Happy bottom or Scratchy Bottom in Dorset.
Ruled out Minions or Brown Willy and Mousehole in Cornwall.

Guessing it’s coughstone, Paignton, or Beer in Devon ? 😀

It is between Black Dog and Sheepwash, if you get to Broadwoodwidger or Chaddlehanger you have gone too far 🤣 🤣

I got in to DXB late last night after coming up from SIN with SQ. It was the old J seat which I was pleased to see. I had just enough time to visit the OW lounge before grabbing my UL flights DXB-CMB-CGK. The flight into CMB was delayed, but fortunately my onward fright was on the same aircraft so no need to worry. I am now sitting in the CGK contract lounge near gate 5 waiting for my QR flight to DOH. Thankfully they have just brought out some more hot food at the buffet, as the cook to order choices don't appeal.

Thanks, that reminds me I need to check whether my UL flights in August are still running. I suspect not......

No @Denali, bad @Denali - not funny! 😭
I've just bounded off the plane in Melbourne. When my brother and I checked in at LHR I was delighted when the very sweet lass said -oh you've been upgraded to F. So we wafted on board, enjoyed the Suite, sampled absolutely everything, slept like babies, enjoyed the CL in HK and arrived back in Mel feeling a million dollars. .....if only

Well I had a win today. On both my flights - CGK-DOH-LHR - I got the new QSuites. Staying at a cheap and cheerful tonight before heading to DE tomorrow.

Today we are driving from my sister's place to stay a night on the Devon West coast.Having lunch at a village hotel we have visited before.

Well, we arrived home today after being in Africa for almost a month - despite the grim warnings of a drought, Victoria Falls looked amazing with lots of rainfull before we got there

Need to rest as tomorrow is the mega huge party celebrating my fav nephews birthday - hes so excited! I would usually not go to an outing so close after a flight, because airplanes are petri dishes of germs, buts whats the worse that can happen.... ;)

I made it to Oberammergau today (south of MUC) and I have checked into the youth hostel. I am not sure how I got here as I hadn't booked the trip from LHR, but here I am anyways! Looking forward to tomorrow. ;)
