What if you just pay at a VicRoads outlet?

Dunno - I live in Canberra. Wife refuses to change rego over.

This started before 2019 B.C. Staff would stop you if they see a gift card in your hand.

Maybe so, but it was the first time that had happened to me. Last week I paid the VicRoads rego with eftpos cards last week at one branch after being prevented at another. Some branches care, some don't.

The only credit cards I can use to pay VicRoads Registration are a Visa or a Mastercard. None of mine pay points on "Govmint" spend such as this.

You can wash these thru MC or Visa gift cards from supermarkets.

Yes, these are just normal Mastercards.

And I'm just scratching my head on what they are trying to achieve by doing this, well, to bypass the fees from Sniip etc could be one.
