I though it might be handy to start a thread on which Hilton charges do actually earn points.

These I know (assuming a qualifying stay)-

Room rate - Yes up to two rooms (officially)

Room charge backs:
Food and beveridge - Yes
Parking - Yes
Movies - Yes
Laundry - Yes
Flights (Rangali) - If you're lucky
Tips - Yes
Extra lounge guests - ???????
Airport transfers - ??????

Pay component of points and pay rate - No
Taxes - No
Service charge - ????????

Anyone like to elaborate on the service charge, or add any additional, please do so. (I'm particularly interested on the service charge component of the ++ rates).

Airport transfers have worked for me..

Gift shops also work for points.

Running events at the hotel also has a great earn rate.

Not so at Langham Melbourne FWIW... I tried to get some points for my wedding reception a few years back. Luckily I paid on CC!

Any thoughts about the service charge? I honestly cannot remember if it accrues points or not.

Hi swanning_it - I stayed at Conrad HK using points + pay last year, and was awarded points for service charges. Also, I paid for NOR1 upgrade to a (Harbour View) suite - the cost of the upgrade was separated from the pay component of the room charge and titled 'Room Supplement' on my folio. Happy to report I also earned points on this Room Supplement (which attracted its own service charge that earned points).

Excellent, thanks. I can't edit the OP so here's the updated version.
