Hi,

I don't have any OneWorld status but will be travelling in business class with my wife on Malaysian Airlines from Melbourne to CDG Paris via KUL.

I see from the OneWorld.com website that passengers travelling in business class can use the business class lounges of any of the OneWorld members.

So what are the best lounges to use in Melbourne, KUL and CDG?

Also is there a paid lounge in CDG that is good? We have 4.5 hours in CDG after arriving from KUL waiting for an EasyJet flight to Venice. Just couldn't find any OW flights from Paris to Venice at a decent price or on award tickets.

Thanks,
Dale.

You should be able to use any OW business lounge and in MEL I would recommend the Qantas one over the MH or CX.
In KUL - the Malaysian lounge is fine.
In CDG you have the choice of AA and CX, I don't think there is much to choose between them.

What time is your departure from MEL? If it is the afternoon then the Qantas Business lounge is probably the best choice. If it is the late night departure then the Qantas lounge is shut, so you'll have to go with the Malaysian or Cathay lounge. Probably not a great deal between the two.

At KUL the Malaysian satellite lounge is your best option. You could also go to the Cathay lounge if open or the smaller Malaysian regional lounge in the main terminal.

Hi,

Our flight from Melbourne is at 14:30 so sounds like Qantas is the way to go then.

I know lots of the regulars here have OW status so don't have the experience but is there a paid lounge at CDG Paris you can recommend? A real downer that come off business class and onto EasyJet!

Thanks,
Dale.

Easyjet departs and arrives at CDG terminal 2B, which does not appear to contain a lounge. There are a few restaurants and bars though...

There's a Priority Pass lounge in T1 available, and also T2 it appears (though I have no clue how T2B relates to those terminals.

Alternatively, an older thread (2010) brought up day rooms/hourly rates at the nearby airport hotels by Novotel or Ibis, though I'd imagine this might be more expensive than you'd like, and slightly further to travel too.

I flew out of CDG on Easyjet a few years ago and the terminal was nothing more than a tin shed set well away from the main terminals. It had limited facilities.

Can you get to the other terminals if you only hold a boarding pass for EasyJet which isn't in the terminals with the pay lounges? Just wondering if it is like LHR where you can't use other terminals if don't have a correct boarding pass.

If so will definitely investigate a hotel room.

Thanks,
Dale.
