Hi All,

Does anyone know if there are certain airline partners that reward seats are not visible online and you would need to call centre to see if any are available?

Further, does anyone find calling the call centre helpful In terms of them helping you find available reward seats via certain routes/carriers etc?

Keen to understand what their capability is compared to the usual hours spent on the QFF website.

Thanks!

You might find other tools like seats.aero or expert flyer easier to find award seats, but they are all on the QF website once you know when to look.

Maybe flights out of certain origins like DXB, CMB and some others since the website refuses these inputs or errors. But even then, there is a way around using the multi city tool.

But you'll still have to call to book a one way flight out of these ports (eg CMB).

There are still various airports that the Qantas website simply doesn't recognise. E.g. I was looking today for reward seats from HEL to IVL and KTT - but the Qantas website doesn't actually let you search for flights to either of those destinations. So you'd need to call up to book.

I've found quite a few other examples of airports that are served by Oneworld airlines but which the Qantas website doesn't recognise. In case anyone from Qantas is reading this and would like to add them to the website, some examples include:

  • Tallinn (TLL)
  • Tartu (TAY)
  • Antalya (AYT)
  • Gazipasa (GZP)
  • Tashkent (TAS)
  • Almaty (ALA)
  • Vaasa (VAA)
  • Kokkola (KOK)
  • Kuusamo (KAO)

There's also the issue, as @clifford pointed out, of the Qantas website not letting you book/search for partner reward flights originating in quite a lot of countries that Qantas doesn't fly to.
