Not as many as you'd think. I'm keeping an eye out though. There will no doubt be some Vintecs on eBay ex the Penfolds promotion

I also have a Misteral 32 bottle cabinet which was <$300 a decade ago. It's still going strong and it has plenty of work to do in Darwin! Unlike RooFlyer mine is for storage not chilling. Friends have various models of Vintec and I never hear complaints.
Two tips from me:
1. Don't be fooled by dual zones or variable temperature settings. I set mine on 14 degrees when I bought it and have never changed it in 10 years.
2. Apply the 20% rule. That is, don't spend more than 20% of the value of the wine you plan to store. If you're keeping 30 bottles worth $50 each ($1,500), then a cabinet around $300 should do the job.
Good luck and be sure to let us know what you buy.
Just off the top of my head I can already think of close to $1,000 worth of wine that we have right now.
How is this so? My annual spend on Penfolds alone exceeds that! Thanks. Sounds like more excellent advice. Just off the top of my head I can already think of close to $1,000 worth of wine that we have right now.

Well thats a scary thought!
I recently got a box of Clarendon Hills Astralis - I'm pretty sure I paid more for that alone than the figure cited. Not sure whether to feel scared or not. The Dan's RWT deal cited in the other thread, at the "normal" price would be around $1k for a 6-pack, but I guess it's only worth $630 at the discounted price.
$700 for the 58 bottle model (am aware that I won't get that many in)
Cash flow will be very much an issue for at least the next year or two.
Between Rockford, Penfolds and Wynns we are definitely accumulating some good wine. The other issue is space; we have a very small house and at the moment there isn't a spot it could go...TomVexville. What is the RRP on the wine fridge? As someone pointed out, the value of the wine (ratio) to the price of the fridge is an important consideration. That said " if" you buy a (really) good one and if you were to wait for one of the Harvey Norman ( or similar) 3 million day interest free deals. You " could " pay off the best/ better unit over time.
IMHO the advantages are 1. You get what you want ( space at your home notwithstanding. ) 2. You may buy smaller quantities of really good wines now, but that will change over time 3. If you are buying well, the future value of said wines will justify the cost now.
I bought my Vintec. Ages ago. I paid under $1,800.0 ( I think). I bought the glass front model, it was a purchase mrs GPH said needed to be a one off, so get it right. My point is these fridges retail for upwards of $3,500.00 now, who knows what they will cost in 10 years time.
The wines I bought then (over the last 10 years) are much more expensive / valuable now, than when I bought them. So as the old saying goes " time heals all wounds" (purchases)
Or simply buy smaller , cheaper and anticipate that the "now" fridge will serve as a multi use chilling unit later on
Ha! The second room is my office; I run a business from home. There isn't a third bedroom...Get rid of the beds !!

Nope no garage. Just a shed that leaks...Get rid of the beds !!
Ok. Seriously now. Does your house have a garage? I converted mine to a billiard room and bar. Cars live outside ! It's currently a bit overstuffed with books ( ALH's) but they will be moving out soon
So man cave status will be reinstated. ( you're welcome to check out the fridge if you're in town anytime, maybe a game (of pool) as well?!
That seems like fairly good pricing to me.
You will/would have way more than that in current / future value wines right now I suspect.
