Who else still holds the Citibank Free For Life Premier Card?

I get about 200k points per year from my Premier, for free. 80k Krisflyer. Plus a couple of lounge passes.

Keeping the card really depends on what the annual fee is.

There's not a lot of easy ways for Aus based to get KF points these days, especially after the Amex deval.

It's all moot until someone actually gets notice that an annual fee will apply.

Its being confirmed elsewhere that the annual fee charged on the FFL credit cards was a mistake. so dont worry about it.
Whats more disappointing now is NAB just announced devalued their points earn.

Key Points
- no more points on BPAY spend > buggar.
- reduced bonus points for certain spending.

my take, being a NAB cardholder for 40 years, NAB was already a poor credit card rewards service, which is funny becuase in late 90's they were the leader in points earn and probably the first to do it. This pushes NAB down the list further. But in saying that, I wouldnt be surprised if all the banks will water theirs down too.

Now the old 28 degrees card is charging a fee.... going to ditch it.
Was my go to for international online purchases for the exchange rate.
Is the Free fee life Citi Premier the same exchange rate or do I need to get the Plat Backwest for better exchange rate?

Yes. They appear to playng around with something. On phone app all options to convert to airlines or flybuys are gone. On website, all references to points at all are gone and they claim I don't even have an eligible card for points anymore at all. Looks like my $5,500 worth of points have just disappeared, so that's nice.

Also, the layout of your profile in mobile app is completely redesigned. They have broken it. When I go to my profile in android app, then go to "View & redeem rewards", go to "Redemption history", I can see my transfer to SQ on 2024-09-08, so history seems available, but not the function to create new transfers.

Urgh, this is a pain, as I was going to transfer my balance over to SQ next week after my next Payall went through for a forthcoming redemption and top up with Velocity points. I only have 'cashback' and 'pay with points' (although ironically, the My Cashback page in the app is still broken).

Fortunately I have enough in Velocity for the full award, but I'd prefer not to pay several thousand points more than needed by converting the full amount.

Let's hope Citi sorts their **** out soon so I can at least get the transfer bonus for Velocity.

Just call them and ask them to do it for you, if it's not fixed by this weekend?
I still think I'd rather pay the extra points than have to deal with Citi's 'customer service' (it's only about 8k, if I can do the transfer bonus). ;)

EDIT - everything's now broken on the Citi website. Transaction history's disappeared for both my accounts and of course other rewards are not showing.

Yep it's fixed, but it was a scary enough wake-up call that I've just transferred 100,000 points to lessen the load of eggs in that one particular holey basket.
