But as long as it isn’t U then it’s a paid for ticket.

There a wide range of tickets that don't earn points. The Velocity card tickets likely get carved out by the following exclusion:

(l) tickets which are subject to any specific provisions excluding the accumulation of Points which may include, for example and without limitation, discounted or complimentary tickets; or

I presume you meant Z as the business award fare bucket..

Travel on VA in U class can earn Flight Credits, Discount Economy SC's and points with Velocity.

That’s rather excellent. So what was VA’s issue then?

Yeah, U/Z ....:p

Here's something for the enthusiasts to play with. I managed to find the original e-tickets in our email. And with that - the fare basis.

I can confirm that the return flights were issued as:

SYD-MEL TZGW0P03
MEL-SYD QZEV0P03

I then went to expertflyer and looked up these fares. The first few letters identify as business and economy, which supports the cabins we flew in. But if I enter the lot, I get nothing.

Any here good with numbers?

PS - the above challenge is for fun & games. Not pursuing with VA due to my need to stay loved on this forum (see post#17)

I think VA pick them up as not counting as they do not have a fixed $ value. Unlike QF the $ is needed to calculate points. Flights with no $ don't count for sectors or SCs, I believe*
When I got complimentaries with Edge you could credit to SQ until about 2013 then it stopped working for me.

*though I do think they should

It's going to cost approximately $240 to make this all go away.

So, in the spirit of wise words from the President of the United States when he's faced with an incriminating conundrum - "Then we should make this go away".

Not one, but two errant apostrophes. What does 'Sunday's' possess?
Talk about cans of worms. The grocer strikes again.

Sadly the OP, who otherwise wrote well, used it's instead of its, bid instead of bade, not to mention "gotta" and the totally unbearable "awesome".

Ouch Ekka, you are a south pole elf no doubt :D

For the aforementioned crimes detailed above - I am guilty as charged.

But - as an intern, you may want to appreciate that some of our reviews are written in the air during turbulence, in a Lounge after a couple of champagnes, or in a hotel room at 2am. They're not always going to be proofed.

Ergo, in the spirit of keeping things nice and light on this forum - perhaps you could retire the red pencil and simply enjoy the literary fruits of mere mortals who can only aspire to be as galactically eloquent as you :p

PS - Hubby flew his (legitimate) run on Tuesday. I rang Velocity today and they elevated him immediately to WP once more. Who's a lucky boy then?
