I did heavy HKG-Silicon Valley commuting in the late 80's/early 90's, plus a few years of CNS-ATL and CNS-JFK.
Have racked up 4.5m miles since 1993. My boss, SFO based, used to do 400k+ per year managing Asia and LATAM.

Lots less now, average around 100-125k miles per year. Now its golf trips to Tokyo, bit of work in Singapore, USA family visits and the SYD-MEL-PER circuit for crust.

Cheers

BF

I am currently in the middle of relocating from Melbourne to Brisbane, and have been commuting weekly since August. This travel pattern is set to continue for the next year or so, or until whenever the OH finds a job in Brisbane. By no means is this even close to a Ryan Bingham level of travel (and neither do I have any aspirations of topping the amount he travels!!), but this would probably be the most I've ever traveled frequency wise.

Pity none of my flights are eligible for Points or SC accrual. :( :p

On QF? Even politicians and their staff get SCs

Do any of the shortlisted candidates give a lecture on how to avoid commitment?

Duty travel = no points or SCs.

As an aside I was going to fly the OH up to BNE on staff travel for a weekend in Nov. He responded "But there's a sale fare and it will get me SCs." A sign that he's been hanging around crazy AFF peeps for far too long. :p
