You might get your wish one day regarding A220, but A350 is not going to be seen domestically and I expect long-haul international is little too far into the crystal ball for any new upstart testing the waters domestically.

From what I’ve heard it’s not a passenger operation

It’s a Amazon freight operation.

I’m just not 100% sure it’s going to be Prime
Air or most likely another company operating it for them.

That makes a lot of sense. There's no way another passenger airline would work in Australia.

Don’t think they will in house operate it, they are not familiar with this part of the world and don’t really have any infrastructure in place here.

I thought they would have gone with an existing freighter operator but it might be wise giving a fresh new operator the contract, gives them more freedom to do what they want, and when they want.

As much as I love the B767 as an Y class passenger I doubt I will fly in one again unless its on PX. As I was implying earlier, every single decent B767 was being brought out of the desert and refitted for freight operations by many freight operators before Covid-19 even struck , as they cost nothing, are reliable/tough and over engineered and are perfect long haul freighters. B757s have also apparently become popular freighters for the same reasons as the B767 albeit with lower numbers built so a smaller pool of available aircraft.

I believe the pair of QF Freight 747-8F wet leased from Atlas Air are still in the "fleet". Does that count for "Australian operators" to complete the straight?

I was under the impression HARS had acquired JT's 707 – and in pretty poor shape too.

I'd like to see an Australian operator with A220 and A350...

As would I, the A220 is a great plane and would probably fit nicely on regional routes that need something bigger than a Q400 or old 717, but can't see it having a J cabin anymore thanks to this pandemic – might have been a chance before.

The 767F is Amazon’s aircraft. Prime Air. Similar to the States but I believe Airwork is taking the contract to start with?

Qantas freight only have 737/767 aircraft. The 747 is leased and operated by Atlas Air.
