Why do all the priority queues get filled with people who think they are the airlines most valuable customer you only earned 500SCs,

Every single time I am in a priority check-in queue there is always someone who needs to make everyone know that they are SG (news flash everyone is SG/WP in the priority queue) by having loud conversations or flailing their Velocity card everywhere and positioning their luggage tag so everyone can see it. Also every single time I line up and i'm not using a bag tag or if I happen to be using a bag that has a PS tag on it I get death stares from these 'special' people who think they are so important.

Sorry for my rant.
A bit annoyed at the moment.

I'm sure this happens on QF just as much.

What are all your opinions?

- Jet

In the QF queue I have the perfect response if a SG wants to push in.I just say I am life time platinum.I just leave out the part that it is with AA.;)

As drron says if it angers you that much, put them in their place. Simple really

Yeh but I don't feel like getting in arguments that I won't win

Just need to have a little rant ill be over it tomorrow

Jet L, you are relatively new here, so you may be forgiven for not realising that the people you describe are mere wannabes.
There is only one true DYKWIA and he walks among us.

People who care about displaying shiny cards are losers - a Red or Nothing member can line up in priority if they're ticketed in J. I've learnt not to judge by appearances, but some people are insecure and hence the DYKWIA behaviour.

When I see DYKWIA behaviour I remind myself to be the bigger person and take the high ground. No sense lowering yourself to their level, or getting worked up about it - you'll give yourself a heart attack.

VA PB is still better than over at QF where priority boarding if often a fail or a free for all scrum.

This somes up exactly what I think, well put.

Ive put all my cards together, like below, and I rattle that thing as Im approaching checkin, security, the lounge and the gate - to clear the way for my arrival. Im just that special.

Some people might think my SG Bag Tag is on display.
It is simply on my bag because sometimes I do HLO and other times I check it in.
By keeping the tag on the bag I always know where it is (IKWIS )

It's just a tag. It sits on hand luggage that might be stored in the hold. If I take it off for hand luggage then it has to go somewhere doesn't it. Like my handbag which is likely already crammed with ithingies etc for the flight.

The priority queue the other day was much longer than the normal one so I went into that.

I do reckon the people in the priority queue thought that maybe they should have been processed first but they had their own queue. I did make sure I showed my card so they didn't chop in on me. :p

Theres another thread somewhere about the new WP tags and a lot of people, myself included for hubby, was contacting VA to get new pretty tags.

If you arent putting them on your bags, why order them?

Edit: If Im caught looking at your bag, its because Im actually looking at your bag. The type, the size, zippers, wondering how much it weighs empty ect.

The best ones to watch on Virgin are the guys with qantas platinum tags who end up down the back somewhere. Some of them handle it with class. Many don't.
It's nice to observe human behaviour sometimes.
