My recent experience with Virgin's new website is making me rethink my love.
- As a Plat booked a fare for self and colleague (who is Gold)
- Only choice was Row 7 (ie both restricted to Gold Status) - chose 7E/7F (of course I took the window)
- Provided colleagues email address. Email sent to both of us had my name in Subject, ignoring that it was a joint ticket.
- Called Virgin to shift seats... Type in FF number, went through excruiating long selection process.. Got operator after 2 minutes (just acceptable for a Plat)
- explained the problem, agreed to shift seats - that took two 3 minute periods of hold music
- Shifted to 3E/3F on one flight, 4E/4F on other --- oh and gave me the middle seat both times... :evil:
- Tried to login to new site to change seat selection... Had to login three times with one bad certificate warning from browser (book.va using a va cert) -- however doesn't appear anyway to change seat selection once booked...
Totally over it
The flight better be perfect
