Yes. Well I was until last night. That was my first thought too. But what bozo would take a card out in my name and then link my QFF to it? (And how would s/he get my QFF number to do so.)Are you an Optus customer?
Ohhh maybe! Here's hoping for a big spender thenSomebody entered the wrong ff number in their card details I would guess.
Too bad the hsbc signup bonus is on the low end at 20k.Ohhh maybe! Here's hoping for a big spender then
It's possible, I suppose. I did have a card with them but it was about 5 years ago...Sometimes there is some kind of reconciliation done. I received a refund this week for something I bought online but never collected - from 12 months ago. Maybe in your history there was some connection.

Excellent advice/ It also behoves the OP to contact Qantas and discuss where the points are coming from. They need to know if there is a potential problem and to act to protect your account. Not to be Debbie Downer here, but should probably check your credit record to make sure no one has taken a card out in your name.
This happened to me once.
Report accessed and all is in order.Excellent advice/ It also behoves the OP to contact Qantas and discuss where the points are coming from. They need to know if there is a potential problem and to act to protect your account.
I dont think the QFF team is operated by Mindpearls, it doesn't handle reservation. In my experience waiting is short, and service is ok, though following up is sometime needed.Report accessed and all is in order.
Loath to sit on hold for 3 hours to contact QANTAS (and not confident of their assistance to be honest, not unless I actually get past the Mindpearl agents.) But I probably ought to, you're right.
Oh that's good information, thanks! I'll get onto them.I dont think the QFF team is operated by Mindpearls, it doesn't handle reservation. In my experience waiting is short, and service is ok, though following up is sometime needed.
Good of them, especially considering they only owed me a whopping 15 points. Hope you got lucky! Now clarified, part of an email from HSBC.
HSBC has recently identified that a number of our Platinum Qantas Credit Card customers were not receiving all of the Qantas Points that they were entitled to. This was a result of an error in our systems relating to the calculation of Qantas Points on certain transactions which has now been resolved.
