Wider middle seats

I do feel bad when I have to do it though so usually happy to wait another 30 min for the next flight if it has any window/aisle seats available.

30mins maybe ... 1hr* and I'm happy to take that last seat.

*30 min intervals don't kick in until 17.35 on the SYD-BNE sector.

Last Friday I took the 15.35 flight because 15.05 had only middle seats left.

The only good middle seat is the one that gets you home a few hours earlier.

It was nice being the one that stole the "shadow" for a change
I can wait. Nothing so far in life has been that important where I would need to sacrifice a comfortable aisle seat for a horrid middle seat to get home earlier.

2pm, next flight is an hour away, 1.5hr drive after landing and years of commuting away from a young family - middle seat is a breeze

Depends what you have waiting at home for you Single life doesn't really compare to a family affair!

Don't need the young family or the drive. If I'm away and can get on an earlier plane, middle seats not going to stop me unless it's a long flight. But usually long flights don't have the sort of frequency to move to an earlier one.

Fiancee knows I don't do middle seats. If she expects me home at 8:00pm then I will be home at 8:00pm or later. If there is an aisle seat on an earlier flight then I will try to be home earlier.

But I do understand your point.

Actually I just wanted to point out 30 min intervals do start well before 17:35, not trying to convince you not to go for middle seat ;)

Not on a Wednesday for SYD-BNE
