Ok, so I have 6 years to go (or is it 7??) but is there a way to find out how many nights one has accrued? I wouldn't have a clue and will all paid nights count, or just paid nights whilst you've been diamond?

PS - The link didn't work for me, it just brings up a "find a hotel" page.

I read it as being nights, total. Not just when diamond.

The 10 years bit I guess is doable (has anyone heard whether status match years will count?), but the 1000 nights is a big ask. I don't really know how many nights I have up with Hilton, but it's a long, long way short of 1000. I guess it's a relief that it is nights and not stays so there's no need for continual mattress runs! I may have to reread an earlier post which suggested a particular "extended" booking.........every year for the next 6 , or maybe just forget about HH diamond for life.

So I have 2 years at Diamond, but no idea about how many paid nights...would be interesting to know. Suppose a call to HHonors may give it somewhere on the screen. I think the hurdle is about right. No use giving it away like candy to babies :D

I suspect they are safe with me then. I can't see me making 1000 paid nights ever.

This year I will possibly requal diamond with all three methods.......I wonder if that's worth three years of diamond?

I did it for 7 years in a row.So do I get 21 years credit?
Still not going to make 1000 nights.

Well, I asked the question and I'm almost too embarrassed to tell the answer, but here I go......(deep breath)....

This email is to confirm that you have recorded 4 years of Diamond status and 83 paid nights towards Lifetime Diamond status.

I'm not sure how they come up with 83 paid nights as the first time ever I've had a reward night was earlier this year (and that was 11 reward nights from memory), so I'm guessing some nights may have dropped into a Hilton Hole somewhere, but suffice to say I doubt I'll ever be making HH Lifetime Diamond. All I can really hope for is a relaxation of the No. of nights requirement! Maybe I should look at SPG again!

I think I may have accidentally stumbled across a Hilton error......and it's not to my benefit.

About 10 months ago, I requsted Hilton give me my tally. The embarrassing result was bravely posted above (which I'm glad I did as I don't think I kept the email from them).

Just recently, I had two stays fail to post in my account, but when I queried them, HH Diamond told me they were showing in their records and they couldn't (and still can't) explain why they fail to show up in my account as either past stays or all point activity and also didn't contribute to my tally until I queried it a couple of weeks ago and then miraculously, within a day, the tally updated to show the stays and nights, but the stays still don't show and HH tell me they know of the problem and IT are working to fix it??

In what appears to be an email to put my mind at rest, I received today, correspondance with the subject "Priority Letter" from a hilton.com domain. I was slightly suspicious but opened the attachment in any case, and found my "priority letter" is a 12 month statement of stays/nights/points, but far from allaying my concerns, I'm almost 100% convinced it is not just a bit wrong......but a lot wrong.

Here is a portion:
Stay.jpg

Now 10 months ago, I was told I had 83 paid lifetime nights (which I doubted back then). Now there is no mention of lifetime nights.....only lifetime stays which is now 81. In the last year and a half, I have accrued 66 nights and 41 stays yet they expect me to believe 10 months ago, I only had 83 nights EVER! Given I'm now into my 5th year as diamond, I can't possibly see how this can be correct (although I know an argument exists that one can earn diamond off just 2 x one night stays......I can assure you that is not me). We have earned diamond each year by a mixture of base points and stays, never nights.

I'm believing that the Hilton tallies are "up to putt", especially given the lastest fiasco where I have the evidence, their computer agrees, but two stays and 6 nights did not appear in my account until I bleated and still today H-Tokyo doesn't show at all and we do have many examples where merging folios have caused points to fail to post (I think I calculated last year that had I not been on the ball watching them, I'd have been 3-4 hundred thousand points down on what I earned). Trouble is, how the hang does one prove it. I only keep records of tax deductible stays, which is certainly not all of them, so I fear I'm at their mercy. In any case, I doubt I have any chance of ever seeing LTD!
