Will Copa Airlines new FF program be the ‘new Dividend Miles’ we’ve been missing?!

Oh and theres also 2000 free miles for signing up this month!!

EDIT: That could potentially be 3000 miles:
Lucky, not sure about the 1,000 and 1,000 miles, but I previously gave my email to sign up for the 1,000 bonus and when I established my account, it immediately credit the 1,000 miles. Also, if you fill out more information (such as passport info, favorite destination, etc.) you get an additional 2,000 miles immediately. So, right off the bat, you should have 3,000 miles.

Done, thankyou for sharing :-)

Already signed up.

Looks basically like a fork of MileagePlus, at least down to mileage costs and award fees (ish). May or may not be worth actually crediting stuff to them when one flies (although decent *A carriers to credit some cheap fares are getting quite rare).

The method of booking awards and what you can do (read: what you can get away with) will be interesting. Most of United awards can be booked online, including partners, but I don't think United is just going to give them that kind of front end system to Copa.

The website is looking fairly rudimentary at the moment.

It's always an interesting ("good" and "bad") feeling when a leader of a programme left behind comes on board to take on the reigns at a new venture. Unlike Borghetti undertaking Velocity, however, the differences don't appear to be as stark as clearing the whole deck and presenting a new closet.

I wonder where they got the list of cities/towns from. In NSW who lives at "Rail Generic" and "Day Trip Mystery"?.

I would be very happy to spend some time at Day Trip Mystery. ;)

Would it be worth crediting some intra EU short haul flights on SAS to Copa?

Copa will status match UA elites by emailing request to - [email protected] (English is fine). They *may* status match other *A statuses.

Ensure you have registered a Copa account first and provide the details of it in your request. There are reports of matches lasting anywhere from 6 - 18 months. YMMV.

here's to hoping close to LM costs without their annoying limitations :)
Well the second part largely depends on their IT methinks, anyone know where they got theirs from? If its similar to United that would be good!
