Will delayed SC count towards gold?

With the new rolling status credits I was close to gold so I flew EY to SIN in mid July. I received the points & status for the SYD-BNE leg, but nothing has shown up for the BNE-SIN leg. I have submitted a retro claim, but as per usual, I haven't heard anything back. The status credits for that date will give me gold, but flights from Aug last year are now rolling off.

When the status eventually is credited, will it recognise that the flight was taken within 12 months and I receive gold status?

How long does it really take for Etihad/Velocity to credit these? (Still waiting for a March retro for my husband and kids) I'm flying again at the end of next month and I want that gold :D

I would give the Guest Centre a call and I am sure they will help. Just state your facts and they should be able to process it pretty quickly.

I had a case of some missing points the other week and after callling it was sorted the next day.

Good luck!

thanks. They were adamant that I would not receive the Gold status when they points/status were credited (still waiting) as they "can't bring back status credits that have expired." So I asked to speak to a supervisor and told my story again... pointing out that regardless of the date that my credits are given to me, I had earned over 500 within a 12 month period. He asked me to email him my boarding passes and itinerary and he'll call me in 3-4 days.

We'll see...

QF are very good in fixing these issues, have faith as I am sure DJ can match that! And keep in mind the general operators level of knowledge is general.

Interested to see how you go.

I'm currently on 420SC's with a PE Perth Syd flight one day prior to loosing some SC's. With the 80 Sc's I will acheive the magic 500 SC's exactly on a Saturday with old SC's dropping off on Sunday.

less than 24hrs later... the points and SC have been credited but alas no gold as yet.

I'll give "Kevin" another day as it's pretty black and white now that I earned over 500SC within 12 months.

Please PM me your Velocity number and I will forward it to the Velocity rep who has often given AFF members personal attention when it comes to Velocity quirks!

One thing that occurs to me:

If the SC's are calculated on a rolling 12 month period it is absolutely imperative that VA get their act together with promptly posting points and SCs from partner airlines. Otherwise we are going to have an awful lot of people complaining that the 2 months they waited for an Etihad flight to post has cost them two months of Gold/Silver/Platinum status.

Expect more of this.

The Gold status took an additional 24 hours to occur for mine, so I showed silver status with a SC total of 530 (or something like that) for a day or 2.

So Gold appeared today :p Just to wait for the shiny new card!

Now to work on my lounge membership refund and some retro points for my family (that I was credited and not them )

Am going to SIN with EY next month. Fingers crossed the points/status will t/fer smoother next time.

Thanks for the offers to help sort it out.

Now to work on my lounge membership refund

Congrats on gold!

My lounge membership pro-rata refund came through very promptly and it was credited back to the card from which I paid.
