Just as *A have problems with Air India it seems OW are following with Kingfisher-

"We have not been paid for July. The management said it does not have the money, and has not given any date for the payment," said a Kingfisher Airlines executive requesting anonymity.
An airline spokesperson did not respond to phone calls but in a text message said: "Due to the bank strike last week, the salaries could not be processed. This has since been done."
The salaries hadn't come till the report was being filed.

The executive said the airline had not paid the lease rental for three of its aircraft and the leasing company had asked the airline to return these.
"The airline has paid to the leasing company and that is why we have not been paid," said the executive. The type of the aircraft, however, could not be confirmed.

This is second time the same promoters have tried to run an airline....unsuccessfully!!! There is very little reason why KF will receive more funding esspcially when competitor airlines are now beginning to show profits.

I'm going to say it: I think Kingfisher is going to die. Really.

There's only so much that a flamboyant alcohol tycoon can do, even in India, to delay the inevitable and put on a brave facade.

When I was following Twitter a bit more than I was now, I was reading about Indian aviation being in trouble almost weekly, and Kingfisher was leading the charge (well, it was also Air India, but seeing as the government owns them it was kind of natural they'd get out of this mess easily). Each time, it was Mallya always in the news putting on a brave face and telling everyone that everything will be fine. Even in the face of aircraft grounded, fuel bills unpaid, staff and pilots with frozen wages - same thing.

Mallya actually makes AJ look a bit like a saint. That's not to say the latter is still horribly insufficient.

The 'writing has been on the wall" with this carrier for sometime now & the flamboyant owner has always put a positive spin on the airlines longevity, though the obvious factors are there for its realistic demise, sadly so.
