You are not alone! I couldn't even play the game yesterday, it was giving message that I had already played it that day.

It's based on a calendar day DFW time; so if you play this morning you can then go again later this afternoon. Conversely, if you play one afternoon you need to wait until the next afternoon to try again.

Nearly moot though as there's only 30 hours or so to go before it closes.
