Window Blinds on Transcon Flights

Good reason being I don't get blinded by the sun and I can comfortably watch the iPad.

That is as valid a reason for having them down as someone wanting to watch the clouds wanting them up.

Precious iPads can't handle a bit of sun eh??? Further reinforces my views about Apple being over-hyped, over priced cough... Well we'll see if the situation ever arises...

Easy on there.. the truth is that the manifest shows everyone's preference to a dark cabin not, as well as status and ipad ownership of each passenger. Ipad ownership takes precedence over WP.

Thank goodness I am a WP with an Ipad.

There's no official policy either way. I'm sure the CS/pax by the windows thought that closing the blinds would have been more beneficial.

If it irks you, best to forward that to Virgin. I personally can't wait until the 787. I like darkness, but also like looking outside. :P

Having all the blinds closed does reduce the noise in the cabin by 3 to 5dB. Personally not big of an issue to me. If you want the blind open then open it, if you want it closed close it.

Like the cabin crew tell you to put them down .... eh?

As i said we'll deal with this when we get to it... The sun better be friggin streaming in lighting the whole friggin cabin up or they will more than likely have one unhappy camper on their hands... Especially if they try that on for the whole trip, maybe part of the trip is ok... Or maybe partially down... But we'll see...

Nap, or pass out from the large meal and plentiful booze service? ;)
