Hi All,

I am looking to move from HSBC platinum card to Everyday Rewards and would like to know if the Internet banking website allows to export the transactions in CSV format? HSBC's credit card online doesn't have this option.

Can anyone who has used internet banking please confirm this for me?

Regards

Welcome to AFF.

I have seen no option to do this.

There IS a facility to see your statement in PDF format; also I have been able to cut and past table text using firefox into Excel spreadsheets ([Edit]|[Rightclick] -> Paste Special -> Text).

Another issue is that it can take a (working) day or three for transactions to show up on-line.

As stated, no CSV export. I've asked by email and they replied saying it was a 'good idea' and they'd 'look into it'.

The PDFs aren't rendered in such a way that it is easy to copy and paste - it never ends up in columns in a spreadsheet for me.

Disappointing... but a bit of manual work is worth it for the points.

That's a pity. It is so simple function but it seems like when you have just the credit card facility with the company (woolworths, hsbc credit card online, macquarie bank et all) they don't allow your to export the transactions.

thanks for the quick responses.

Ironically the Prepaid product does have the export to Excel capability accessible from the EDR site.

Non credit card accounts also have it on the HSBC site. Don't have an HSBC CC, but seems strange that it doesn't.

They might but I have an HSBC Platinum Card only and use "Credit Card Online" function from their website. It just allows me to view my transactions on the website - but no export.

Talking to their customer service confirmed this and they said "it was a good idea" when I suggested that everyone other bank allows its customers to download the transactions.

The prepaid product is handled by ANZ so that probably explains the functionality difference!

I understand the Woolworths 'Everyday Money' Credit Card has that function, or at the very least can be automatically downloaded through ANZ Money Manager, but Everyday Rewards credit cards can't.

The Everyday Rewards internet banking is the worst system I've used, I put everything through an identical-earning Amex just to limit the amount of manual record keeping I have to do for the woolies card.
