Woolworths gift card thread

It's actually 2000 points on a $50 Google Play, Uber or Netflix gift card and 4000 points on a $100 Adrenaline, The Hotel Card or Gourmet Traveller Restaurant gift card

Can the Netflix cards still be bought with an eGift card (WISH)?

Nope. They stopped that loophole quite some time now. It's a good deal when you pay with Amex Platinum Edge

Thanks. I no longer carry Amex. The devaluation combined with the fee increase and other reductions in benefits made it no loner worth it.

I've tried to buy a $50 Ticketmaster card. Visited a total of four different stores over two days (yesterday and today) and there were none to be had. Strangely enough, the instore promotional banners on the gift card displays were different to the ad in the current catalogue. Instore makes no mention of $50 Ticketmaster cards but does feature a picture of a $100 Ticketmaster card with the offer of 2000 points.

All the stores had plenty of $100 Ticketmaster cards and, from memory, the card display arrangement was identical in each store. Presumably arranged according to some sort of memo from head office or the marketing department. I ended up buying a $100 card and received 2000 points. Strange that that particular offer doesn't appear in the catalogue.

Am I right in saying that the highest VA gift card denomination is $100?

Thus with 10pc discount one pays $90 for $100 flight credit effectively. Good when combined with a general VA discount code like HNV39 online?

How long has it been since Woolworths stopped allowing the $10 accumulated from the 2000 pts to be able to be redeemed off the next gift card purchase? I was able to redeem it off groceries/fuel, but not subsequent gift card purchases.

Also I accumulated a substantial amount of dollars, about $1000 worth from the promotion they are currently running. My account was switched to Christmas banking and then my account has been subsequently locked. Has anyone run into the same issue?

That's not my main concern because auto redeeming QFF points isn't a bad idea.

I'm more concerned as to why my account has been locked, no one at the call centre can give me an answer and the standard 7-14 business day investigation time frame was provided.

If this is now occurring, it is very recent.

Looks like they've changed Terms and Conditions. Still doesn't explain why they locked my account.

Only need to add groceries and you won't be able to redeem the $10 at all.

im sure woolworths have their reasons for doing this, and one of them must be profit making

but in the last 12 months, we no longer
- cant use egift cards
- bonus points opportunities reduced
-now cant use points for GC

really sux to be a point collector
