Lovely, my existing prepaid credit is expring soon!

I bought 5 of the Uber gift cards today, the usual reactions from the check out staff - she looked at me funny and asked her colleague "do we allow this?", I said you know that the coles across the road is doing them for $10 off with a maximum of 10, so I can just go get them from there.....

In fact, I think I will do just that. Both ways I save $10, but for some strange reason Woolworths staff seem to think earning 10K points on a transaction is some kind of scam?

From Wednesday December 4 get 10 off the following gift cards:

Hoyts
Virgin Australia
The iconic
Red balloon
Gourmet traveller
Goof Food

Cheers, always appreciated. Poor offerings those ones. Maxing out on the Amex MYER and Coles Uber offers at the moment.

Commencing Wednesday December 12:

15% off $30, $50 and $100 App Store iTunes gift cards
(limit of 10 per transaction)

10% off all denominations of Christmas Kids, Christmas Her, Christmas Him, Baby, Birthday, Home, Fashion for Him, Fashion for Her and Active gift cards.
I've not seen these before but they appear rather like the Ultimate range of gift cards (Home) in that each card can be used at multiple different stores. These may be a replacement for the ultimate range? Below is a list of the stores where each of these different cards can be used:

UPDATE:

Keep a watch here and be ready to act!:

Significant speculation of a major 'gap in the system'. If this works out it's HUGE!

So just get to the store really early first thing in the morning?
I stress that it's only speculation. We need someone to buy one. Try to convert it to a Mastercard and then try to use that Mastercard to buy something from a store not listed on that gift card. Instructions say the conversion process takes 24 hours. So, who is the sacrificial lamb?

I'm going to give it a go for a few cards tomorrow as there are always alternate options to use them, but I would be wary overall of the fact that one person's experience may not be universal. Even if I am able to convert it, I wouldn't be confident enough that it would continue to work, so it seems more academic than anything. I'll update the ozb thread with my findings as I expect others will too.

If it was a Woolies or Coles initiated 'swap', id be more confident. I don't hold a lot of trust in these GC operators, so am nervous to invest heavily

I've bought 2 of the TCN $100 for kids cards this morning, and I have requested a swap for both.

I found the process difficult at Woolworths. I had to have the staff find the cards for me (as it wasn't on general display, instead a small amount were on one of the gift card carousels elsewhere in the store), and they originally grabbed $50 cards which are not eligible for the promo (it differs per card type). We swapped them over and the $100 cards instantly scanned through at the discounted price. I've applied for digital mastercards for both - the process isn't quite as simple as you see in the webform in that there is a second screen when you need to fill in some personal details and a mobile number so you can recieve the card via SMS. Both of my requests are lodged and one is "processed", so I will shortly see what the outcome is.

In the catalogue it shows $100 cards but the text reads 'offer available on all denominations'.
