Woolworths gift card thread

Woolworths always stated the EDP is paused, not cancelled.

So your post is really just stating what we already know.
We know this by not talking randomly to someone at WW & just reading public statements by the company.
I guess that assumes we all actually believe every statement by the company without ( in my view reasonable) skepticism as to whether they are actually telling us all.

  • For cards with a fixed value, limit of 10 cards per day per Rewards Member (can be done across multiple transactions).
  • For TCN Gift $100, Deluxe variable and Holiday & Hotel variable cards where you choose the amount to load, limit of 2 cards per day per Rewards Member in a single transaction.
See below for a list of where these cards can be used. Highlights include JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, Uber, Uber Eats, Kogan, Baby Bunting and more:

Hmm. Will have to see if limits are enforced. Appears harder to get a few K of JB vouchers in one day.

For future reference TCN's exchange system didn't seem to allow me to swap a $40 party card for a $40 JBHifi card. This could be problematic for anyone wanting to use them online.
I densed this a bit so thought I'd chime back in for anyone playing along at home who wants to make a big JB EOFY purchase.

Under the T&C I was able to purchase 2* gift $100, 6x gift $50, and 10* party $40 on one account in one day with points all crediting at POS.

Initially I didn't realise that gift $50 could be done in addition to the two gift $100s, so I bought the party $40s first.

So in theory under this promo you could purchase $200 + $500 + $400 per WWR account per day, if you're happy to buy in-store and get familiar with entering PIN numbers at the JB POS terminal.

Having trouble trying to convert gift card to uber voucher,
Purchased 2 of them, do you activate on website or just concert to uber voucher
says to add in details then I get an error message.

For those that were using the 3% off Woolworths Group and partner gift cards in the Rewards app (which includes Your Pick so you can switch it to any other card on their platform), they've extended the discount by another few months. It now ends on 6 October 2024 (was due to end on 30 June).

As a reminder, Vanilla Visa gift cards currently do not work with PayPal, DEFT or Sniip but they do still seem to work for ATO payments.
A friend just bought 2x $500. Hasn’t been able to pay ATO yet…will try again later. Balance states $500 on each….

For what it’s worth, I just made another ATO payment this morning with one of these cards. They’re not activated immediately so you may have to wait a bit for them to work (30 minutes in my case).
