Woolworths gift card thread

Anyone still having issues with the woolies GC MOBILE site?

Cant seem to select wish GC (page only shows the supermarket cardsand there doesnt seem to be a way to scroll to the wish cards any longer)

Desktop site works fine.

Woolies what have you done! Why have you tried to fix something that was not broken!!

All versions of this site now seem to be working fine for me.

But I agree with your comment - I don't know why they played with it!

Seems like they permanently removed the ability to send cards to third parties (called them up on this - apparently too many emails got bounced).

Post upgrade Im finding my purchases are marked "payment pending" for further verification again - takes 24hrs -48 hrs sometimes. Previously it just went into the automatic queue.

Even when using a credit card you've used with them previously?

Yes - highly annoying now!
*the other day 1 purchase went through automatically. Very random.

Every order of mine I have to now chase up. I’ve asked them if there is anything I can do to speed it along but they just ignored that question.

I've just ordered a gift card for the first time in 7 months. I ordered a heap of them back in June 2017 when Qantas was running their "Bonus points on the ground" promotion and just before many credit cards reduced their FF point earning rate. Since then I've been using up my stock.

I've been following this thread and noted that some people are now experiencing slower delivery times so I ordered my new gift card allowing plenty of time for delivery.

I ordered it at 2pm on Wednesday (10 January) and noticed the "Allow 48 hours for delivery of your gift card". At 4pm today I sent an inquiry via their website and, within a few minutes, the tax invoice and gift card arrived in my inbox.

Their customer response arrived a couple of minutes later:
"We are terribly sorry to hear that you have not received your order within the specified time frame of 48hrs.

This is certainly not the experience we wish our customers to have. I have checked your order and can see that your eGift card is ready for dispatch. It will take up to 180 hours for your eGift card to be delivered to you."

180 hours? That's 7.5 days! A week to deliver a "ready for dispatch" eGift card? Granted, I have my card now, but that's a *lot* slower than 7 months ago when delivery was usually less than an hour!

Hmm that does sound a bit strange, am wondering whether it's a typo. I've spoken to the giftcard team a number of times this week and they have only ever apologised for not delivering within 24 hours and less than an hour later they always come through.

Things are certainly slower now. I've been informed by several credit card providers that there is a lot of fraud associated with gift cards - especially WISH cards purchased online.
