Woolworths gift card thread

Thanks for sharing. Another snooze fest from Woolies. Supposing you buy the $100 gift cards you would receive 1,000 Everyday Rewards Points which works out to 500 Qantas points. The purchase fee would be $5.95 meaning you are buying these points for effectively 1.2 cents each supposing of course you can find a way to use every cent of value on the gift cards. Contrast that with the current promotion which is 20x points on Apple Gift Cards. Those gift cards carry no activation fee meaning you get 2,000 Everyday Rewards Points (1000 Qantas points) for every $100 spent. Provided you can fully use the value of those cards (which in my experience can be done if added to your Apple account) then you are getting considerably more value. Now yes it’s true the gift card on sale this week can be used in more places than the Apple gift card. However if you have Apple subscriptions or want to buy a new Apple device this is clearly a better value

I think you missed the sarcastic wink
Nope. Just very conscious of how many people are still vulnerable enough to fall for this type of claim. The sooner people stop posting it, even in jest, the better. I say this as someone who recently saw an elderly person loose their life savings relying upon similar poorly thought out posts.
